They presume a lot about the (potential) reader without knowing anything about them. And it sounds like it's stating some kind of a fact but it really isn't. Different people are afflicted by different problems, you can't just make such a blanket statement about everyone.

I think the "you" here is an obvious self-insert by the autor which is fine in my book. It's only about you if you choose to read it that way.
